About the Contest

Cats Colleges and EXCEL are happy to announce a number of scholarships up to 70% available for students from Moldova to study on academic programmes (14+ years old) at one of the CATS Colleges: Cambridge, Canterbury or London. The Scholarships will be deducted from the tuition fees and are valid for September 2016 admission.

The Scholarship is offered for the following academic programmes:

GCSE – studying GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) and IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) over a two-year study plan provides a solid secondary education foundation before choosing the right study pathway onto university. Find out more here.

A Levels - the classic route to university in the UK, and recognised by many of the best universities around the world. It is designed for confident students who aspire to the most competitive degree courses at UK universities and beyond. Find out more here.

Application Process

Who can apply?


For GCSE (Canterbury, Cambridge):
Age limit: 14+
Academic requirements: 8 or 9 years of schooling completed with a good school report
Students with Intermediate level of English (IELTS 4.5 min.)
Genuinely interested and motivated to attend a GCSE programme

For A Levels (Canterbury, Cambridge, London):
Age limit: 16+
Academic requirements: 9 or 10 years of schooling completed with a good school report
Students with Intermediate level of English (IELTS 5.5 min.)
Genuinely interested and motivated to attend a A Levels programme

For IB – International Baccalaureate (Canterbury):
Age limit: 16+
Academic requirements: 9 or 10 years of schooling completed with a good school report
Students with Intermediate level of English (IELTS 5.5 min.)
Genuinely interested and motivated to attend a IB programme

FAQ

We do NOT require a formal English language exam in order to be entered for the Scholarship selection, however the winning non EU (countries outside EU) candidates may be required to pass an IELTS test as per UK Border Agency requirements in case they are 18.
No. The Scholarship does not have any money value, is not trasferable to another person and comes as a discount to your tuition fees for academic programmes at ONE of CATS Colleges.
Unfortunatelly, no further financial support will be available for winning students, so plan your finances well in advance and discuss further financing/sponsoring options with your family or sponsor.
Yes. For all non EU winning candidates we will provide full VISA support. It should be noted however, that this does not cover the VISA fee itself for the UK.
At this stage, you are expected to register by filling in the registration form below until Midnight, July 24th, 2016.
You will receive a confirmation of registration by email.
At this stage, we invite all registered candidates to take 2 selection tests as detailed below:

Mathematics test
Date: 26th of July
Time: 10.00-11.15 (75 minutes)
Test type: Multiple choice
You can use calculator, pencil and raiser. You are not allowed to use mobile phone calculators!

English test
Date: 26th of July
Time: 11.30-12.45 (75 minutes)
Test type: Multiple choice and essay
You are not allowed to use any dictionaries!
Location: EXCEL Office (45 Pushkin St, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova)

To accept or reject your scholarship offer, you should contact us either by email or by phone 022224059 by 10th of August. In case we don’t hear from you till the indicated deadline, your scholarship offer will be cancelled.
