About the Contest

INTO University Partnerships and EXCEL are happy to announce a 50% Scholarship for the International Year One Programme at Newcastle University, UK!

The Scholarship is to the value of £8.750 and will be deducted from international tuition fees. The award does not have any money value and is valid for September 2016 admission.

Known also as International Diploma, this is a one-year pathway programme allowing students to gain entry to the second year of an undergraduate degree at Newcastle University, UK.

Newcastle is seen as one of the friendliest and most affordable cities in the UK, and its university is in the country’s top 10 for overall student satisfaction and experience. With an award-winning careers service specially tailored to international students like you, it’s no wonder Newcastle is one of the top 20 UK universities for graduate employment.

Selection Rounds

Who can apply?

High school students in their final year (12 form)
College students (only year 3 or 4)
University students (1-4 years)
Students with at least Intermediate level of English
Genuinely interested and motivated to attend a university in UK
At this stage, you are expected to register and complete the quiz (form below) between 10-25 of February 2016.
The quiz is based on questions pertaining to UK education system and INTO Centers. Detailed information about INTO centers and programmes can be found here.
We will contact you by email by 26th of February to announce the results of preliminary round.

At this stage the shortlisted participants are expected to produce a 10 minutes long presentation (can be Power Point, Prezi or other) on a given topic which will be announced by email.
The stage will be judged by INTO Newcastle University and EXCEL representatives.

After evaluating wonderful presentations of the finalists, the Jury, composed of Mr. Tim Magill, INTO Newcastle representative, Miss Polina Avdeeva, INTO regional manager, and Mrs Elena Fulidi, EXCEL manager, announced the winner.
The winner is Miss Cristina Melnic, 12th form student of the Lyceum of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova. Congratulations!
