About the Contest

Activate Learning and EXCEL are happy to announce a number of 50% scholarships available for students from Moldova to study on International Foundation Programme - IFP (age 17+) and Scholarships of up to £6,250 to study on A-Levels (16-19 years old) at one of ACTIVATE Colleges: Banbury and Bicester College, City of Oxford College and Reading College.

The Scholarships will be deducted from the international tuition fees and are valid for September 2016 admission.

Selection Rounds

Who can apply for A-Levels programme?

High school students with minimum 10 years of schooling in Moldova and which will be at least 16 years old by 1st September 2016
College students (year 1-3)
Students with at least Intermediate level of English*
Genuinely interested and motivated to study at one of ACTIVATE Colleges

Who can apply for the International Foundation Programme (IFP)?

High school students with minimum 11 years of schooling in Moldova and which will be at least 17 years old by 1st September 2016
College students (year 3 and 4)
University students (year 1 and 2)
Students with at least Intermediate level of English*
Genuinely interested and motivated to study at one of ACTIVATE Colleges

* All shortlisted/winning candidates will be required to sit the IELTS English language test.

For successful Scholarship candidates, provided they score the minimum required grade (IELTS 6.0 for A-Levels and IELTS 5.5 for IFP), we will consider reimbursing the cost of the English exam fee (up to the £200).

FAQ

We do NOT require a formal English language exam in order to be entered for the Scholarship selection, however the winning non EU (countries outside EU) candidates may be required to pass an IELTS test as per UK Border Agency requirements.
No. We will consider the reimbursement of exam fees only for successful candidates who have met the following minimum requirement: IELTS 6.0 (for A-Levels) and IELTS 5.5 (for International Foundation Programme - IFP). It should be also noted that no cash reimbursements will be applied and exam fees will be deducted from final course fees.
No. The Scholarship does not have any money value, is not trasferable to another person and comes as a discount to your tuition fees for academic programmes at ONE of ACTIVATE Colleges.
Unfortunatelly, no further financial support will be available for winning students, so plan your finances well in advance and discuss further financing/sponsoring options with your family or sponsor.
Yes. For all non EU winning candidates we will provide full VISA support. It should be noted however, that this does not cover the VISA fee itself for the UK.
The deadline for completing this stage has expired. All shortlisted candidates will be contacted by e-mail within 48 hours with assignment for the 2nd stage.

At this stage the selected participants will be expected to write an essay (min 1 page A4 format) on a given topic, which will be announced by email after 22nd April 2016.

To accept or reject your scholarship offer, you should contact us either by email or by phone 022224059 by 31st of May. In case we don’t hear from you till the indicated deadline, your scholarship offer will be cancelled.
